What subjects are studied and how – MSc

MSc degree

The Degree Course – which over 2 academic years includes a total of 12 exams, a final exam (based on the preparation of a degree thesis) and an English language test – is organized into two curricula, one with a predominantly for space and the other predominantly for aeronautics, with some teachings in common. Regardless of the chosen curriculum, there is a free choice course and a restricted choice course, essentially of a laboratory type. For the free choice, further courses proposed for the restricted choice can also be used. Although attendance at lessons and related activities is not compulsory, it is strongly recommended. In common to the two curricula are the Aerodynamics and Aerospace Structures courses, while the remaining courses are different for the two programs. In particular, for the Aeronautical curriculum there are courses on systems, instrumentation and aeronautical propulsion, dynamics of atmospheric flight. Regarding the space curriculum, there are courses in astrodynamics, attitude control of satellites, space propulsion and measures for space. To these courses are added restricted choice courses on laboratory activities typical of the two sectors (computational fluid dynamics, structures, propulsion and robotics) and free choice courses (for example optics, navigation and others).
