A quest\u2019ambito appartengono le tecnologie delle alte tensioni, le valutazioni economiche dell\u2019energia elettrica e l\u2019illuminotecnica. Ampio spazio \u00e8 dedicato alle macchine elettriche (generatori e motori) e ai convertitori statici utilizzati, ad esempio, per la conversione dalla corrente alternata alla continua e viceversa. In tale ambito rientrano gli azionamenti elettrici, l\u2019automazione elettrica e i veicoli elettrici ferroviari e stradali. Lo studente potr\u00e0 approfondire le tematiche legate ai dispositivi e sistemi di generazione elettrica innovativi (generatori fotovoltaici, eolici, \u2026), all\u2019accumulo di energia elettrica, all\u2019energia nucleare a fusione, alle applicazioni elettrotermiche industriali e medicali ed alle nanotecnologie elettriche.
