The course is conceived to study in detail the theoretical and applicative aspects related to energy, thermofluid-dynamics, heat transfer, energy generation systems, electrical energy systems, energy economics, industrial measurements, renewable energy. Moreover, specific course units are foreseen (which can be chosen by the student), for the training of competent engineers aimed at more specific professional positions, all of great interest in the current energy outlook. They analyze, for instance, aspects relating to machines and plants that use renewable energy sources, cogeneration and combined plants, nuclear (fusion and fission) plants, civil and industrial applications, such as energy in buildings or heating and cooling plants and components. During the course units, the students will face actual problems, even complex ones, which they will try to solve, with the help of the professor and using different tools (specialized textbooks, advanced calculation software, information gathered from various sources).<br>\r\nThe list of course units in Energy Engineering highlights the characteristics of the curriculum of this Second-Cycle Degree. The subjects of renewable and non-renewable energy sources, combustion, thermofluid dynamics, measurements, controls, energy plants (thermal, mechanical, electrical) and energy systems will be studied in detail. The optional course units will allow the students to focus on specific aspects.\r\n<br>This Second-Cycle Degree foresees:<br>\r\n\u2013\t15 CFUs (two exams) that can be chosen by each student among a limited list (constrained choice); this list depends on the profile selected by the student;<br>\r\n\u2013\t15 CFUs that can be chosen freely by the student (autonomous choice); although a list of possible subjects is suggested depending on the profile.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div><div data-label=\"Cta\" data-id=\"cta--5\" data-export-id=\"cta-centered-section-grid\" data-category=\"cta\" class=\"cta-centered-section-grid content-section content-section-spacing-medium bg-color1 dark-text\" id=\"cta-5\" style=\"background-image: none\" data-section-ov=\"1\">\r\n<div class=\"gridContainer\">\r\n<div class=\"row text-center\">\r\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-10 col-sm-offset-1 col-md-8 col-md-offset-2\" data-type=\"column\">\r\n<h3 class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left\">Profiles<\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify\">Three different profiles are available:<br>\r\n1.
