They can also make use of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dii.unipd.it\/didattica\/poli-didattici-di-calcolo\" class=\"\">Computer Labs<\/a>, of the <a href=\"http:\/\/biblioingegneriabernardi.cab.unipd.it\" class=\"\">\u201cEnrico Bernardi\u201d Industrial Engineering Library<\/a>, and of a mechanical workshop.\r\nThe laboratories occupy a total area of \u200b\u200bover 4500 square meters and are equipped with modern equipment and instruments at the international state of the art. Some examples of exercises are the construction of a crystal at room temperature through atomic bonds and its melting (see figure), or the plastic deformation of a crystalline metal following the motion of dislocations, or the elastic deflection of a cantilever beam under mechanical load.
