Master Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering
The courses of the Master Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering complete and deepen the methods learned in the bachelor degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering, offering at the same time various opportunities for specialization. Using the fundamental principles of chemistry, physics and biology together with software tools for calculation and design, a methodology is acquired by the students to systematically face and generally deal with various applications of the process industry and applied research, with particular attention to the transformation of matter and energy.
The main subjects covered in the courses are:
– Design and operation of chemical reactors;
– Design of the main unit operations of chemical processes;
– Thermodynamic and fluid dynamics principles;
– Advanced industrial processes of organic chemistry and polymeric materials;
– Control and management of industrial processes;
– Safety and risk assessment of industrial production processes;
– Softwares to model, analyze and optimize industrial processes;
– Design of the entire production process and economic feasibility analysis;
In addition to the main courses included in the educational offer of the Master Degree, students can also choose from numerous elective courses.
Although students are free to choose any 4 elective courses, the Master Degree proposes four “learning paths”, where courses are grouped according to different tematic areas:
